What’s new as you begin 2010?

At the RC Taylor Group, we’re finding that our clients feel a renewed energy to focus on their most important resource – their people.  Clearly, leaders are choosing to be out from under the cloud of 2009’s uncertainty.  From large corporate sales meetings, which may have been skipped or trimmed back last year, to high-impact leadership retreats, we’re happy to be helping our clients get their 2010 kicked off effectively.

But make no mistake -- it’s not “back to the good old days.”  No room for waste, no interest in excess.  Focus and direction are paramount.  It’s about finding what will truly make their company successful as they begin this important new year.

Ah, music to our ears at the RC Taylor Group.  Our clients don’t come to us for off-the-shelf, cookie-cutter events.  They know that our group’s intention is to make a difference – not just put a gig on the calendar.  Here’s a look at what we’re already doing this year with our clients:

·         Leading the five-country European expansion of the RCT-developed “CEO” process, which teaches its participants to “be the CEO” of each customer relationship, of each initiative they tackle, for a long-term multi-national client company.

·         Facilitating and guiding several top management and Board-level retreats for insightful leaders who recognize that 2010 must be a year of initiative, alignment, and “I-Countability.”  (“I-Countability” is what happens when you start “accountability” with an “I” – there is a big difference.)  Trust is everything here:  Sometimes priorities need to be re-aligned; other times, communication channels need to be opened up.  If there are barriers to break through, or walls to tear down, we’ll help you do it.

·         Redesigning and re-launching one of our most successful custom sales training processes for a Fortune 50 client company, with full-scale selling and service solutions for its new generation of environmentally responsible industrial products.

·         Developing and leading creative, memorable national sales meetings for client companies who want their kickoff event to be both motivational and skill-building.

·         Leading and coaching large and small client groups with the most well-researched engagement survey in the industry – and even more important, the follow-up management development that leads to real and sustainable improvement.  Surveys abound (though the one we use truly is the finest – just ask us how!) -- but the real key is how leaders choose to learn and lead with the survey results as a benchmark.

·         Speaking of coaching:  Nothing builds improvement like focused, individualized executive coaching.  We’re working with senior leaders at large financial services companies, top health-care executives, and professionals in private practices, to mention just a few.  Our coaching work is always challenging and direct.  It’s rooted in a comprehensive understanding of the executive and his or her role and place in the organization, as well as the executive’s own dive into a new level of self-awareness – without which coaching is merely conversation.  Ask us what our coaching clients have to say after the experience.
